Mostra Informativa (Diário 4)

Manhã - Chuva, vento... mas continuamos resistentes. A Joaninha foi a nossa heroína, que se aguentou até ao fim!!

Tarde - Com umas brechas de calmaria, lá apareceram os nossos visitantes. Mas, realmente, a chuva não tem ajudado.

Contudo, a boa disposição continua a reinar. Aguardamos por mais visitantes à nossa tenda.

O quadro interactivo continua a ser alvo de grande curiosidade por parte de todos os que nos visitam e todos querem deixar algo registado para mais tarde recordar ;)
Os desenhos espalhados pelo recinto e a comida também são alvo de atenção. E obviamente os jogos culturais, que dão brindes e permitem umas boas gargalhadas!!! No jogo sobre Alemão, hoje, foi possível ver que nem todos têm a matéria na ponta da língua :)

Mostra informativa (Diário 3)

Sol, sol, sol...

Manhã - Com rabanadas e salgados na tenda com as professoras Joana, Josefa e Dominique. Hoje é o dia de Português e Chinês e com muita animação temos jogos, filmes, comida e café, livros e um espaço para os mais pequenos brincarem. Passaram muitas escolas e distribuimos muitos panfletos e brindes e eles ficaram encantados!

(Na foto, um jogo referente à lingua chinesa. Afinal, como se escreve árvore em chinês????)

De tarde fizeram-se os jogos tradicionais portugueses e deu para rir bastante!!

Conhecemos também pessoas interessantes, que gostaram muito das nossas comidinhas caseiras :) As pessoas mais velhas com muitas histórias para contar, são as que nos tecem mais elogios e têm um sorriso sincero.PVZ

Mostra Informativa 09 - (Diário 2)

A caça ao tesouro está a ser muito engraçada... estes aventureiros não perdem uma oportunidade para tentar sacar informações... mas daqui, não sai nada :)
Até já se cruzaram grupos, mas não houve confrontos :)
Estamos ansiosos por saber, quem serão os piratas a chegar ao baú primeiro - irão ser os mais inteligentes e perspicazes, com toda a certeza.

Durante a tarde tivemos até a visita de estrangeiros, vindos de França, que estão hóspedados no hotel aqui perto. Conversamos um pouco e a verdade é que eles adoraram vir a Portugal, e precisamente no dia em que estão na Póvoa encontram uma exposição sobre o 'Francês' na nossa tenda, tendo até provado os queijinhos e iguarias que tinhamos ali... oriundos de França!! Foi realmente muito motivante para nós.

Mostra Informativa 09 - (Diário 1)

Iniciou-se hoje à tarde a Mostra Informativa de Saídas/Formação e Opções Profissionais, que se realiza na Póvoa de Varzim, no Largo do Passeio Alegre e que conta com a participação de várias escolas, e que pretende mostrar aos jovens e adultos alternativas para o seu futuro, no que diz respeito à sua formação escolar.

Apesar do tempo inconstante (calor, chuva, calor, vento... ), foi possível fazer a inauguração da nossa tenda com sucesso.















Na foto, uma menina que quis usar o quadro interactivo. Aliás, esta já é a segunda vez que o faz, já que no ano passado também visitou a nossa tenda, deslumbrou-se com o quadro, participou nos nossos jogos... e ficou nossa 'fã' :) Vai ser, concerteza, uma artista no futuro! E até aprendeu umas coisinhas em Inglês.

One of the most beautiful buildings in my town

For me, the most important building in my city is the Domus Municipalis. It is in the old city, inside the castle walls of Bragança.
The Domus Municipalis is a building of Romanesque architecture. It is believed that this curious building shape dates from the 12th century. Other authors say that its origins could date back to the Roman Occupation, or even before, making it a vestige of the Greek domination, but this could not be proved.
It is a unique building in all the Iberian Peninsula. It has the shape of an irregular pentagon. It has more or less forty arcades. This building is made of granite.
No one knows exactly what the real function of this building was, even after the great amount of research carried out during the last years. It could eventually serve as a cistern but some authors have doubts if this was its real function. Other authors say it could have served as a City Hall.
The thing you can see from this monument is Mount St. Bartolomeu.
It is free to go in, so you must take the chance to visit it!

Paparazzi

Paparazzi is a plural term (paparazzo being the Italian singular form) for photographers who take photos of celebrities at moments when the subjects do not expect to be photographed, such as when they shop, walk through a city or eat at a restaurant. Paparazzi tend to be freelancers unaffiliated with a mainstream media organization. They usually sell their work to dozens of magazines and newspapers that publish such photos for their readers and subscribers and hence many paparazzi feel they are helping celebrities and public figures by increasing their visibility. Some photographers often earn large sums for a particularly good or revealing picture. Mel Bouzad, one of the top paparazzi in Los Angeles, said one time that if he got a picture of Britney and her baby, he would be able to buy a house in the hills above Sunset Boulevard.
How is one day in a paparazzo’s life?
Most of the time paparazzi do doorstepping.
Doorstepping – paparazzi wake up early in the morning and go to a celebrety`s house. Then they sit and wait. They watch celebreties leave and they follow them all day until they lose them or until they realise they have enough material to end the day.
Other times, paparazzi are informed about where the celebrities are in that moment and they run there to catch a picture. Usually these celebreties’ spies are waiters, shop assistants and “vallets” that are spread around the towns. Who are the “vallets”? They are the ones who usually earn the minimun wage and when they see cars of 200 000 dollars start thinking: “Why can`t I earn 50 dollars with this information?” and they sell this information to the paparazzi.

Paparazzi have always been considered a necessary evil in the life of a celebrity and the beautiful and elegant Princess Diana had long been one of their favourite targets. She was followed by photographers all the time and she knew the power of a good picture to the promotion of her image and all her charity projects. However, it was the paparazzi who caused her death. She was killed on 31 August 1997 in a high-speed car accident in Paris, while being stalked by paparazzi in cars and motorbikes. However, no one was ever convicted.
Although the laws have changed in some countries after Diana’s death, in the USA it is still largelly thought that “Anything goes to get a celebrity’s photo.”
Why do paparazzi still exist?
When celebrities want to promote a movie or an album, they go to the places where they know paparazzi are. They need paparazzi to have success. The thruth is that without paparazzi there would be no celebrities and no celebrities` culture. They are essential to the hollywood promotion machine.
Basically, if magazines didn`t want to pay for the photos and people decided to stop buying the celebreties` magazines, the pictures and the paparazzi would disappear.

Reporter LC - Concerto de Rock/Metal

A banda nomeada para os MTV Europe Music Awards, MOSH, estiveram no Sábado, 9 de Maio, num espectáculo, na PVZ.

A boa música, aliada a uma público animado, permitiu que houvesse espaço para muitos saltos e até "mosh", apesar da sala onde o espectáculo decorreu ter cadeiras e não ser o indicado para este tipo de concerto.

Os "MOSH" estiveram muito bem, e apresentaram o seu novo album intitulado "Bastard".

The New Urban Tribes (part 2)

What about SCUPPIES? Haven’t you heard about Eco Chic women? Cities are being invaded by them. Scuppies is the symbol for “Socially Conscious Upwardly-mobile Person”. This means they are starting to be successful as citizens and that they are conscious of the environmental problems. However, they don’t put aside new technologies and the facilities they give you if the label says “ecofriendly”. Voluntary work is one of their hobbies and they don’t spend much money on clothes, but they buy expensive coffee with a Fair Trade label.
I’m almost certain that you have already heard about NEO-HIPPIES, haven’t you? Well this tribe is not so recent as the others. Actually, it was born in the sixties. But now it seems to have a lot of members too. Being a Neo-Hippie means being informal, adventurous and aesthetically free. They believe that if everyone was a neo-hippie, the world would be better. They share customs and have a straight relation with the Oriental culture, as they do meditation and dress like oriental people. They think cities are not the perfect place to live in, and they would prefer to live in a small cottage where they would certainly feel free.
